Bagmati. The District Administration Office, Makawanpur has urged one and all not to travel on the Kanti Highway (Hetauda-Kathmandu road) during the night.
Chief District Officer of Makawanpur, Basanta Raj Adhikari, issued a notice today urging one and all not to travel via the Kanti Highway (Hetauda-Kathmandu road) from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am the next day.
According to a notice issued by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Home Affairs and National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in different parts of the country on Asar 16 and 17, landslides, road disruptions, mudslides, mudslides, floods and rise in water level in the rivers.
The district administration has urged one and all not to engage in risky activities like fishing, swimming, boating and crossing rivers in lakes, rivers, rivulets and other reservoirs.
Similarly, the passengers have been urged to follow the official information related to the weather condition and the directives issued by the security bodies and to travel only when they are safe and to inform the nearest security agency, local level or the District Administration Office at the Emergency Work Operation Centre free of cost at 1149 in case of any disaster-related incident or emergency.
The administration has urged all to cooperate and coordinate in this task as the security personnel can stop the movement on any road in the district for a certain time on the basis of the assessment of the risk situation during the rainy season.
