Kathmandu. InDrive, the global mobility and delivery platform, has launched a new course titled ‘Safe Driving Online Course’, aimed at empowering safer travel in Nepal.

The structured training program aims to equip driver partners with the knowledge, skills and confidence to move safely on the road and on every journey.

This Safe Driving Online course is currently in operation and many drivers have completed the course. Now, the course aims to reach to over 1 lakh drivers across Nepal.

Considering the fact that driver partners are constantly on the go, InDrive Nepal has made this course short, practical and easily accessible. The course, which can be completed in about 20 minutes, is designed keeping in mind the time and busyness of the drivers.

The Safe Driving Online course is divided into three modules. These include on-platform security and business limitations.

This module focuses on how drivers can maintain a safe, respectful and professional behavior with passengers within the platform. In addition, the issues of determining and maintaining the necessary occupational boundaries during the journey have also been covered.

Similarly, basic knowledge of road safety is related to ride-hailing. In this, this module has been prepared keeping in mind the real situation of ride-hailing service. This includes knowledge of safe driving habits, precautions to be taken in high-traffic areas or unfamiliar areas, and practical road safety.

This is related to emergencies, reporting and the use of SOS. This module aims to prepare drivers to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies. This includes how to use the SOS feature available within IndriWapp and how to use the correct reporting channel in case of an incident.

Each module consists of a five-minute educational video and five comprehension questions to keep the learning simple, focused, and effective. Drivers will be required to answer at least 80% of the questions in all modules correctly to receive the Safe Driving Online Course completion certificate. Drivers will be able to retake the quiz without any limitations even if they do not pass on the first attempt.
