Kathmandu. There has been a slight rise in the stock market. The index, which measures the market, increased by 8.78 points to sit at 2661.71 points.

The sensitive index has increased by 3.89 points and the float index has increased by 0.99 points. The sub-indices of the banking sub-group have improved on the basis of a general improvement in the market. This has led to a market correction.

The sub-indices of banking groups increased by 2.04 percent while the sub-indices of finance, life insurance and microfinance groups increased by 2.04 percent. A total of 8,964,000 units of shares worth Rs 4.11 billion of 359 companies were traded during the transaction.

Share prices of Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower, Kalanga Hydropower, Snow Rivers and Sanigad Hydro were in the positive circuit.

Laxmi Sunrise Bank is in the first position in terms of transaction amount. The company has a turnover of Rs 41.32 crore.
