SEBON Chairman Assures Merchant Bankers: Will Increase Investor Confidence in Mutual Funds, IPOs and Private Equity

. The executive committee members of Nepal Merchant Bankers’ Association (SEBON) today appointed the newly appointed Chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). Gopal Prasad Bhatta, a member of the association. On the occasion, the executive committee members of the association met with Dr. Bhatta and congratulated him on assuming the office and wished him a successful tenure.

During the meeting, Nepal Merchant Bankers’ Association expressed the belief that Nepal’s capital market would become more effective, transparent and credible under the leadership of President Dr. Bhatta.TAG_OPEN_div_16 Expressing gratitude to Nepal Merchant Bankers’ Association, Dr Bhatta pledged to give priority to collaboration and continuous dialogue with the private sector in the days ahead.

In addition to the exchange of greetings, the two sides held detailed discussions on various contemporary issues related to the development of Nepal’s capital market.TAG_OPEN_div_14 On the occasion, discussions were exchanged on the issues related to mutual funds, initial public offering and private equity to enhance the confidence of the investors, to create an investment-friendly environment and to make the capital market more dynamic and effective.
