Kathmandu. The influence of monsoon wind is prevailing throughout the country.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon low pressure trough is located in the eastern part of the country towards the south and around the average place in the western part of the country. The weather is generally cloudy throughout the country at present. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is taking place at some places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places of the hilly region of Lumbini.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly region of the country towards the afternoon. Likewise, generally cloudy weather is likely to occur in the Tarai areas of Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, while there are chances of partly to generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhes and Bagmati provinces.

Light rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of Tarai Province of Gandaki, Lumbini Province and Sudurpaschim Province, and at one or two places of Terai Province of Koshi and Bagmati Province.

Heavy rain is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly and terai regions of Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. Similarly, there will be generally cloudy in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces tonight while it will be partly to generally cloudy in the rest of the country. Light rain and snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous region.

Light rain or thunder likely to occur at some places of the hilly region of Karnali and Koshi provinces and at a few places of Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province and at one or two places of hilly regions of western hilly region tonight.

Likewise, there is the possibility of rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two places of the Tarai region and Madhes province of Koshi province. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has urged all to observe precaution as there is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places of the hilly and terai region of the Sudurpaschim province.
