Kathmandu. Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal said it would not be easy to return the money to the cooperatives until the cooperatives were strict on the borrowers.
She said this while responding to the queries raised by the lawmakers in connection with the proposal seeking consideration on the Cooperatives (first amendment) Bill-2083 BS received from the House of Representatives in the meeting of the National Assembly. “It will be difficult to return the money to the savers if the government is not strict in repaying the loan from the cooperatives,” she said. ”
She clarified that this law has been brought through an ordinance to address the sufferings of thousands of savers. “The law has been brought through an ordinance to provide immediate relief to the cooperatives victims,” she said, adding, “The definition of a family linked to cooperatives has been made a bit broader.” ”
Lawmakers Padam Bahadur Pariyar, Samjhana Devkota, Shree Krishna Prasad Adhikari and Ram Kumari Jhankri put their views on the amendment bill.
The meeting unanimously endorsed the proposal seeking consideration on the Cooperatives (First Amendment) Bill-2083 BS.
