Kathmandu. The CNI Young Entrepreneurs Forum (CNIYEF), the youth wing of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), organized a high-level interaction on “Beyond the CEO Forum, Beyond the Engine: The Story of Nepal’s Automobile Industry”.
The program held discussions with young business leaders, policy experts and industrialists to analyse the structural challenges and development prospects of Nepal’s economy. The discussion was attended by senior experts who have played an important role in shaping the corporate and industrial architecture of Nepal.
The panelists included Karan Chaudhary, Managing Director, CG Holdings, Ritu Singh Vaidya, Managing Director, Voith (Toyota representative), and Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd. Ltd. The CEO of the company was Sahil Shrestha (BYD representative). The program was facilitated by Saket Sanghai, director of Triveni Group.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Saini Khetan, President of Network & Communication, CNIEF highlighted the outline and objectives of the program. This was followed by a panel discussion with introductory presentations by eminent panelists and facilitators.
Complexities of the automotive sector, legal obstacles in industrial development and changes taking place in Nepal’s commerce sector were discussed during the discussion. In an open Q&A session, representatives from various sectors including manufacturing, technology, and services interacted directly with the panelists on policy stability, current market challenges, and the overall investment environment.
