Kathmandu. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said the weather will be cloudy in most parts of the country today with the possibility of rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in the hilly, mountainous and terai of the country.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there are chances of moderate rain and snowfall in some places of the hilly and mountainous region towards the afternoon. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the Tarai region of Koshi, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at a few places of the Tarai region of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

Heavy rain is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The weather will be cloudy throughout the country tonight. Light rain or thunder likely to occur at many places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province and at a few places of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Similarly, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of Madhes and Bagmati province, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly region of Madhes, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
