Development Bank earns Rs 7.32 billion in net profit

Kathmandu. In the first 11 months of the current FY, the development banks have earned a net profit of Rs 7.32 billion. According to the data released by Nepal Rastra Bank, Garima Bikas Bank has become the highest profitable development bank.

Garima Bikas Bank earned a net profit of Rs 1.35 billion in the review period.TAG_OPEN_div_15 It is followed by Muktinath Bikas Bank and Sine Resunga Bikas Bank with net profit of Rs 1.26 billion and Rs 1.01 billion respectively. Except for these three banks, all other development banks have a net profit of less than Rs 1 billion.

Corporate Development Bank is the least profitable development bank during the review period.TAG_OPEN_div_13 The bank has earned a net profit of Rs 3.75 crore till mid-June.

In the meantime, four development banks are in loss.TAG_OPEN_div_11 According to the NRB, Karnali Development Bank, Narayani Development Bank, Salpa Development Bank and Sindhu Bikas Bank made losses in the review period.
