Flash floods likely for up to 3 days in small rivers of these 36 districts

. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast flash floods in the small rivers of the country for the next three days.

There is a risk of floods in small rivers in Panchthar, Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, Saptari, Sunsari, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Dolakha, Ramechhap, Sindhuli, Sindhupalchowk, Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Lamjung, Tanahun, Makwanpur, Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, Chitwan, Nawalparasi (east), Nawalparasi (west), Palpa, Kaski, Parbat, Myagdi, Syangja, Kailali and surrounding districts.TAG_OPEN_div_35

Binod Parajuli, a flood expert at the Department, said that Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Kavrepalanchowk and other surrounding districts are at high risk of flash floods.TAG_OPEN_div_33

Light rain or TAG_OPEN_div_31 snowfall is likely to occur at many places of the mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at a few places of the mountainous region of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces towards the afternoon ।
