Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has said that the number of governors, number of directors and qualifications of Nepal Rastra Bank should be discussed in the Finance Committee.
He said this during the discussion on the Nepal Rastra Bank Act (amendment) bill in the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives today.
He said that the issue of how many deputy governors should be appointed in the NRB and what should be the structure of the directors should be decided through the discussion in the committee.
“The government has no intention of weakening the autonomy of the NRB,” he said.
