Rs 58 billion foreign direct investment committed in a year, how much in which sector?

Kathmandu. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) worth Rs 58.10 billion has been approved in the fiscal year 2082/083.

According to the department, FDI worth Rs 9.58 billion has been approved automatically and FDI worth Rs 48.41 billion has been approved through the approval route.

According to the Department, foreign investment worth Rs 1.86 billion has been approved in the month of July alone. According to the department, 1116 projects have been approved till mid-July. Of them, 202 projects were approved in the month of July alone.

According to the Department of Industry, foreign investment commitment has been made for 1116 projects till mid-July. According to the Department, Rs 23.18 billion was invested in agriculture and forestry products-based industries during the period. This amount has been committed for 18 projects.

According to the department, commitment of Rs 3.91 billion has been made in 63 projects related to manufacturing sector, Rs 2.83 billion in 727 projects related to information and communication technology and Rs 7.16 billion 86 million 86 million 85 thousand 873 in four projects related to energy sector.

Similarly, commitment of Rs 1.80 billion has been made for two projects in the infrastructure sector. According to the Department, out of 1116 projects, 1092 projects are small industries, 12 are medium industries and 12 are big industries. The construction of these projects will provide employment to 28,423 Nepalis.
