Kathmandu. The Special Court has ordered the release of CPN-UML Vice-Chairman Bishnu Poudel on general date.

A division bench of Justices Narayan Prasad Poudel, Dilli Ratna Shrestha and Bidur Koirala issued the verdict today on Sunday.

The court ordered Poudel to be released on general date citing that the evidence provided by him did not reveal his involvement, he had denied the allegations and he did not get any profit despite doing financial transactions with businessman Deepak Bhatta.

The Department of Money Laundering Investigation had arrested Poudel from Surkhet on June 22.
