Kathmandu. Jagdamba Motors Pvt. Ltd. has launched the new electric car of Proton brand EMAS 5 in the Nepalese market.
The vehicle is available in two variants, Prime and Premium.
The Prime variant is equipped with a 30.12 kWh battery and a 58 kWh motor.
The vehicle has a range of 225 km on a single charge as per WLTP standards. It comes with 6.6kWh AC and 53kWh DC fast charging.
The premium variant is powered by a 40.16kWh battery and an 85kWh motor. The company claims that this variant can travel up to 325 km on a single charge. The battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in about 20-21 minutes with 71kW DC fast charging.
The IMAS 5 measures 4,135 mm long, 1,805 mm wide, 1,580 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,650 mm. The company claims that the rear-wheel-drive system will provide a balanced and smooth driving experience.
It features a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, 375 litres of boot space and 1,320 litres of luggage with foldable rear seats. There is an additional 70-litre capacity of fronk storage at the front.
In the Nepalese market, the EMAS 5 Prime is priced at Rs 29,99,000 and the premium variant is priced at Rs 34,99,000.
