Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The District Administration Office Kathmandu has urged the people to adopt special alertness while travelling in the Kathmandu Valley citing the increased risk of flood, landslide and inundation during the monsoon.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has urged drivers, helpers and passengers of public and private vehicles to take precaution on the entry and exit routes in the northern, southern, eastern and western parts of the Kathmandu Valley based on the warning of extremely heavy rainfall today and tomorrow.

The office has issued a travel warning to people not to travel at night as far as possible, to update themselves in weather details if necessary and to take prior information from the local administration about the condition of the road.
