Kathmandu. Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank has launched NepalPay Card Issuing and Acquiring Service with an aim to expand its digital banking services.

Customers of the bank will now be able to avail the NepalPay Card and transaction from the bank’s ATMs across the country with the help of NepalPay Card as well as international cards of Discover Network.

Along with other card schemes, the bank will also provide the National Card Scheme – NepalPay Card operated under the National Payment Switch.

Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL) has recently started commercial rollout of NepalPay Card, making the NepalPay Card available globally in collaboration with the international Discover Network.

The NepalPay Card issued by banks and financial institutions, payment service providers and payment system operators can be used at ATMs and POS Terminals in Nepal and abroad. Along with the RuPay Card, other international cards under the Discover network can also be used in Nepal.

So far, more than 36 banks and financial institutions have enrolled in the NepalPay system. Among them, 7 banks and financial institutions have started issuing service while more than 10 have started acquiring service. According to the NCHL, this number is gradually increasing.

Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank has been providing service to over 8 lakh customers across the country. The bank has been providing services from 122 branches, one extension counter and 66 ATMs across the country. In recent years, the bank has been prioritizing digital transformation and improving its internal systems and customer service. The bank has pledged to further expand access and quality of digital services in the days to come.
