PM removes education, health parity fee brought by Finance Minister

. KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has decided not to implement the education parity fee and health parity fee proposed in the private education and health sectors for the time being. Prime Minister Shah informed that the decision was taken after consultation with Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle.

He said that the objective of bringing 3 percent equality tax is to provide good education and health services to the people of remote and backward areas, support Dalit, marginalized and disadvantaged children, expand health insurance and mobilize necessary financial resources for this and make the economy more systematic by expanding the tax net.TAG_OPEN_div_14

However, he said that the reaction to the parity tax at the civic level has drawn the government’s serious attention. “Our commitment to building an equitable society by listening to people’s demands is unwavering and clear. All the decisions of the government have been made keeping the interest of the citizens at the center and will be done. The government is always ready to revise and revise any decision if the citizens are dissatisfied with it. ” says Prime Minister Shah.

He said the government was committed to implementing the policy of providing 10 per cent beds in private hospitals and 10 per cent seats in private colleges and universities in a transparent and equitable manner so that the poor and poor people can get quality education and health services.TAG_OPEN_div_10
