Kathmandu. The government has appointed Dr Ram Prasad Dhital as the chairman of the Electricity Regulatory Commission. A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on July 6 decided to appoint Dhital to the post of chairman of the commission.
He was automatically dismissed when most of the appointments were cancelled by the latest ordinance brought by the government. The government has reappointed Dhital to the commission.
Dr. Dhital is a senior energy expert, policy maker and manager with over 25 years of experience in energy, electricity regulation, hydropower and renewable energy sector.
