Nepal Reinsurance Company incurs loss of Rs 6.75 billion

. KATHMANDU: Nepal Reinsurance Company (NRIN) has published its unrevised financial statements for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2082/83.
According to the financial report, the company had a loss of Rs 5.84 billion till March of the last fiscal year.TAG_OPEN_div_30 The company had posted a net profit of Rs 54.82 crore in the previous fiscal year 2081/2022.

The company has earned Rs 6.TAG_OPEN_div_22 79 billion in insurance premiums till mid-April of the last FY. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 7.83 billion in the same period last year. The company’s total premium has decreased by 13.23 percent in the review period compared to the previous year.
The company has earned Rs 5.TAG_OPEN_div_20 83 billion in net insurance premium during the review period. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 7.11 billion in the same period last year. Compared to the previous year, the net premium income decreased by 18.01 percent.
The company’s annual earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 43.TAG_OPEN_div_18 51 during the review period is negative at Rs 43.51. The EPS was Rs 5.45 a year ago. The net worth per share of the company has come down to Rs 109.20.
