Kathmandu. In the last fiscal year, 14 non-life insurance companies have done business worth Rs 50.60 billion. In the last fiscal year, the total insurance premium of non-life insurance companies has increased by 15.12 percent. In the last fiscal year, the non-life insurance companies had a business of only Rs 43.95 billion.
Shikhar Insurance Company was the largest trading company in the last fiscal year. In the last fiscal year, the company had a business of Rs 6.51 billion. The company’s business increased by 12.38 percent compared to the same period of the previous FY.
Similarly, Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance has increased its insurance business by 8.40 percent to Rs 5.42 billion. Himalayan Everest Insurance and NLG Insurance Company Ltd have recorded the highest growth in the business. Himalayan’s business grew by 31 per cent to Rs 5.37 billion and NLG by 37 per cent to Rs 4.20 billion.
Likewise, Siddhartha Premier’s net profit has increased by 0.17 percent to Rs 4.31 billion, Neco Insurance by 11.37 percent to Rs 3.65 billion, The Oriental Insurance by 20.37 percent to Rs 3.25 billion, United Ajod by 11.95 percent to Rs 3.11 billion, Nepal Insurance by 8.77 percent to Rs 2.21 billion and Prabhu Insurance by 8.21 percent.
National Insurance Company and National Insurance Company have done the least business. In the review period, National Insurance Company has earned Rs 1.58 billion and National Insurance Rs 1.29 billion.
