Wires removed in Thapathali area within a day

Kathmandu. The haphazard wires in Thapathali area have been removed within a day.

Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha took the initiative to repair the electric cables, internet, telephone and television cables that have been hanging from the street poles at Thapathali since long.

Minister Shrestha had reached Thapathali since early morning to manage the fire in the wire tower on Tuesday night. He also coordinated with the concerned bodies for the immediate operation of the disrupted service and wire management.

Minister Shrestha contacted Minister for Information and Information Bikram Timilsina, Nepal Telecommunication Authority, Nepal Electricity Authority, Telecom Service Providers, Internet Service Providers, Kathmandu Metropolitan City and other concerned agencies to remove the wires.

Minister Shrestha said the wires were successfully managed in coordination with the bodies concerned and they would be removed in other areas as well.

He said that the wires in the risky condition would be managed immediately and managed in the long term.

Minister Shrestha also said that the campaign of systematizing the existing wires in different areas of the capital would be intensified.

Minister Shrestha, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and the concerned bodies, expedited the removal of the wires. They are working to inspect and coordinate from the field with the officials of the concerned bodies.
