Indefinite curfew imposed in some parts of Dhanusha 

Janakpurdham. The District Administration Office, Dhanusha, has imposed an indefinite curfew in some sensitive areas of the district.

As per the order issued by Chief District Officer Prem Prasad Luitel, the curfew has been imposed from 3:30 pm on July 30 until another order is issued.TAG_OPEN_div_14

The order states that no one will be allowed to move, assemble, procession, demonstration, assembly and sit-in in the designated areas as per Clause TAG_OPEN_div_12 6 of the Local Administration Act, 2028. The administration has also warned of action as per the prevailing law if the order is violated.

The area where the curfew is applied has been determined by designating four fortresses. According to the administration, the area from Laxminiya Haat Bazaar Chowk in the north to Siurjoda Chowk in the west to Laxmipur Novba in the east, from MU Steel on Belauni Road to the National Primary School 500 meters east of the petrol pump, from Nagarain Municipality area to Nagarain Chowk in the south and from Siurjoda-Sohani-Manimandap-Nepal Nursery-ISKCON-Janakpur-Dhalkebar Bridge-Bela-Qadri Mosque in the west ।

TAG_OPEN_div_8 The District Administration Office has urged the general public to fully comply with the curfew order. According to the administration, the decision was taken keeping in mind the sensitive situation and peace and security.
