Kathmandu. The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has urged all sides concerned to resolve the situation arising out of Dewangunj Rural Municipality-3, Captain Gunj and then some districts of eastern Nepal. Nepal has been maintaining religious tolerance, mutual unity and social harmony for centuries. The CNI heartily appeals to all to maintain social, religious and communal tolerance while maintaining this uniqueness of ours.
There are plenty of examples of any problem, dissatisfaction or dispute being resolved through dialogue. Therefore, the Confederation calls on all to maintain peace and order, social and religious harmony in the country by maintaining mutual harmony by adopting restraint as no solution to any problem can be found through agitation, violence or confrontation.
The country’s economy is in trouble. At a time when it is very important to grow the overall economy by creating jobs, such incidents disappoint everyone. The CNI has also urged the government and all stakeholders to guarantee full security to the general public and industries and businesses as the incidents of vandalism of public and private properties, closure of markets and shops and looting during the agitation have left us very saddened and worried.
Likewise, the CNI also urges all the provincial and district associations of the CNI and other organizations of the private sector to carry out activities to help establish peace by organizing goodwill rallies in collaboration with other organizations of the society to maintain harmony while maintaining social, religious and communal tolerance in the country.
