Kathmandu. The meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Wednesday took various decisions.
The meeting also decided to appoint Yanky Ukyab of Kathmandu to the post of Chief Executive Officer of Investment Board Nepal. Similarly, the Statistics (First Amendment) Regulations, 2083 BS have been approved.
The meeting also decided to scrap the Nepal Intermodal Transport Development Committee (Formation) Order-2054 BS. The meeting also decided to approve the merger of Nepal Intermodal Transport Development Committee with Nepal Transit and Warehousing Management Company Limited.
The meeting also decided to implement the Livestock Slaughterhouse and Meat Testing Act, 2055 BS in a phased manner.
The government has given approval to table the Children (First Amendment) Bill, 2083 to the Federal Parliament.
Likewise, Prof Dr Khadka Bahadur KC of Parbat has been appointed as the chairperson of the University Grants Commission and Prof Dr Rojesh Shrestha of Bhojpur has been appointed secretary.
The meeting also decided to provide compensation, relief and treatment to the families of those killed and injured in the demonstrations in Sunsari and Siraha districts.
