Kathmandu. The government has released new pay scales for the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force (APF) for the current fiscal year.

The decision of the Council of Ministers has approved the new pay scale.

The government has increased the salary for the fiscal year 2083/84. According to the new pay scale made public by the Ministry of Finance, Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force (APF) have been given the same salary scale as the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

The starting salary of IGP is Rs 79,290 per month. After the addition of two grades, it will be Rs 84,576.

Similarly, the salary of Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) has also been increased accordingly. Similarly, the monthly salary of a police constable is Rs 36,338. The salary of the recruit is Rs 27,172

This pay scale has been effective from July 1. In addition, they will get an additional 10 percent monthly incentive allowance along with the new pay scale.
