Kathmandu. Police have arrested Raj Kumar Pote on the charge of illegally importing and selling fake parts and lubricants of Tata vehicles.

According to the police, a team from the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchowk raided the shop and godown of Nest Generation Automotive Pvt Ltd in Banepa and seized fake spare parts and lubricants worth millions of rupees.

Police have arrested Pote in connection with the case. Police have sealed 10 godowns including his shop and further investigation is underway.

According to the police, Pote has been prosecuted for tax evasion in the past. Police have said that the use of counterfeit parts can increase the risk of road accidents and damage to the life and property of consumers. According to police, such activities will directly affect the state revenue loss and businessmen running their business legally.

The police administration has said that it will intensify the search and legal action against those involved in such illegal activities across the country.
