Banks offer special offers and facilities for auto loans in Naima Expo

Kathmandu. Nepal Automobiles Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), the organizer of the Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, has partnered with Nepal Automobiles Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) to provide special offers and facilities for auto loans.

Global IME Bank, co-sponsor of the event, and banking partners Siddhartha IME Bank and NMB Bank jointly organized the event with special schemes to facilitate customers in the fair. After selecting the vehicle of their choice, the visitors go to the stalls of the bank and register their name for the loan.

Banks are offering loans ranging from 0.5 percent to 1 percent at the base rate and service charges are also charging only 0.5 percent. As the number of visitors increased on the third day of the fair, the number of visitors has increased significantly in the bank stalls.

Mr. Manjil Bista, SME Retail Banking Manager of Global IME Bank, said that the expo saw a significant increase in the number of visitors visiting the bank stall to enquire about the loan offerings.

“The number of people who come to our stall after selecting vehicles and apply for loan by scanning QR is significant,” he said, adding, “We are working to help the customers win the hearts of the visitors by bringing attractive offers.” ’

After the visit of the fair, the stalls of the bank are facilitating in connecting those who have registered for the loan with the branch. According to Bishnu Prasad Sharma, manager of Lazimpat branch of Siddhartha Bank, the data collected from the stall will be sent to the central office and the central office has been connecting the visitors to the concerned branch.

“We have been connecting some visitors directly to the branches,” he said. Sharma said that the number of visitors registering their names for the loan after selecting the vehicle is increasing every day.

Similarly, NMB Bank has been providing good service to the visitors from the stall located in the fair venue. “We are facilitating the fair visitors to provide loans at attractive interest rates,” said Sameeksha Pant, relationship manager of the bank. The response from the customers is good. ’

The second edition of the expo, organized with the objective of promoting sustainable, green and technology-friendly transportation system in Nepal, will run till August 14. Domestic and multinational vehicle manufacturers and importers are participating in the expo.

The major attraction of the expo is the first-time brands as well as new models of electric cars, e-scooters and electric commercial vehicles.
