Rukum East. Vehicular movement along the Pushpalal (mid-hills) highway has been obstructed at night due to landslides triggered by heavy rains.

According to the District Administration Office, Rukum (East), the vehicular movement has been obstructed due to landslides at Kandabagar and Dhaulapahira among other places along the mid-hill highway following heavy rainfall since August 11.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division has warned of possibility of rain for some more days and the condition of the road is risky.

According to a notice issued by Assistant Chief District Officer Samir Gautam, the movement of all types of vehicles along the Mid-Hill Highway has been prohibited from 7:00 pm today till 7:00 am on August 14. The administration has urged one and all to travel during the day with information about weather forecast, rainfall condition and road conditions.
