Kathmandu. There is the influence of monsoon wind throughout the country today. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon low pressure trough is near the average place in the east and close to Nepal in the north than the average place in the west.

At present, it is generally cloudy across the country. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at many places of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, at some places of Lumbini and Karnali provinces and at one or two places of hilly regions of Koshi Province. Heavy rainfall is taking place in one or two places of Gandaki province as well.

According to the Division, the weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country towards the afternoon today. Likewise, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at many places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and at a few places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at many places of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, at some places of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at some places of Tarai areas of Madhes and Koshi provinces.

Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly region of Gandaki Province and Karnali Province and at one or two places of Tarai region of Sudurpaschim Province and Lumbini Province.

The weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country tonight as well. Moderate rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area. Likewise, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at many places of the hilly region of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and at some places of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

Likewise, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at many places of the Tarai region of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, at a few places of the Tarai region of Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province. Heavy rain is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly region of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and at one or two places of Tarai of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the hilly and terai region of the Sudurpaschim province.

Heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places of the hilly region of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, leading to the risk of mudslide, flood, landslide and soil erosion in these areas.

The Division has urged one and all to stay updated in the notice to be issued by the Division as it may affect daily life as well as agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road and air transport.
