Six injured, including Chief Justice, Registrar injured in Zurichet jeep accident

Hetauda. Makwanpur: At least six people were injured in a road accident at Bhimphedi rural municipality-6, Jurikhet in Makwanpur district.

The Scorpio jeep (State 3-01-002 J 5183) en route to Hetauda from Kathmandu skidded off the road and plunged some 60 meters down from the road this morning.

Badu’s spouse Laxmi Badu, 49, sons Ritendra Badu, Rita Badu, and jeep driver Chunilal Chaudhary were injured in the accident, according to District Police Office Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhav Prasad Kafle.

Among the injured, the condition of Laxmi Badu is said to be critical. The condition of the other injured is said to be moderate. A police team from the Area Police Office, Bhimphedi, has reached the incident site soon after receiving the news of the accident.

There were six people, including two women and four men, in the vehicle. The injured have been sent to Bhimphedi Hospital for treatment. Further investigation into the accident is underway, police said.
