Scorpio accident: 4 including judge Dangi airlifted to Kathmandu

Kathmandu. Birgunj Judge Gokarna Dangi and four others have been brought to Kathmandu for further treatment.

They have been airlifted to Kathmandu by a Nepal Army helicopter along with 3 others for further treatment. Makwanpur: At least six people were injured in a road accident at Bhimphedi rural municipality-6, Jurikhet in Makwanpur district.

The Scorpio (State 3-01-002 J 5183) en route to Hetauda from Kathmandu had lost control and plunged some 60 meters down into a ravine this morning.

The injured have been identified as Judge Dangi, 57, of Tulsipur-9, jeep driver Chunilal Chaudhary, 32, of Dang, Tara Dutta Badu, 51, his wife Laxmi Badu, 49, son Ritendra Badu, 25, and sister Rita Badu, 31, of Dasharathchand-7 in Baitadi.

Among the injured, the condition of Laxmi Badu is said to be critical. The condition of the other injured is said to be moderate. A police team from the Area Police Office, Bhimphedi, has reached the incident site soon after receiving the news of the accident.

There were six people, including two women and four men, in the vehicle. The injured have been sent to Bhimphedi Hospital for treatment. Further investigation into the accident is underway, police said.
