Kathmandu. The stock market fell on the second trading day of the week. On Tuesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 19.34 points to close at 2,622.48 points.
Along with NEPSE, the transaction amount has also decreased. Shares worth Rs 5.52 billion were traded in the market today compared to Rs 5.52 billion on Monday.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 12 sub-groups decreased while the indices of one sub-group increased. The production and processing sub-group index decreased the most by 1.40 percent.
Today, the shares of Sarbottam Paints and Mount Everest Power Development were traded at a positive circuit level. Shares of Sarbottam Paints rose by 68.40 paise to close at Rs 524
.60 today.
On the basis of transaction amount, agricultural bonds (9-year) are at the top on this day. The bond worth Rs 50.68 crore was traded on the day. Similarly, shares of Solu Hydropower Company worth Rs 390 million were traded today while the turnover of Khani Khola Hydropower Company crossed Rs 250 million.
