Kathmandu. In the first month of the current fiscal year, the government has collected Rs 62,49,65,315 as capital gains tax. According to CDS and Clearing, the amount was collected by mid-July.
According to the data, the long-term transactions on the personal side have paid Rs 19.35 crore in profit tax in the first six months of the current fiscal year.
Similarly, short-term traders on the personal side have paid Rs 35.71 crore as profit tax.
Similarly, institutional investors have paid Rs 74,42,74,733.
Investors are liable to pay 10 percent capital gains tax on the profits earned from the sale of shares for less than one year. Similarly, 7.5 percent capital gains tax has to be paid if sold for more than a year. This tax has been implemented since July.
