Karnali. A meeting of the Karnali Province Assembly is taking place today.

Chief Minister Mangal Bahadur Shahi is likely to take a vote of confidence in the meeting today.

Chief Minister Shahi has already registered a letter in this regard in the House on Monday. Shahi was appointed to the post of Chief Minister on July 28 with the support of CPN-UML.

The cabinet expansion has not taken place due to some delay in the allocation of ministries between the two parties. Chief Minister Shahi informed that the cabinet expansion would be done after taking a vote of confidence from the parliament. The ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has 14 members in the 40-member State Assembly, while the UML has 10 members.
