Bagmati Province Council of Ministers to operate e-cabinet, develop project tracking system

Hetauda. The Bagmati Province government has decided to conduct the cabinet meeting completely paperless through the ‘e-cabinet’ system.

The first meeting of the Council of Ministers presided over by Chief Minister Kiran Thapa Magar today took the decision to make the decision-making process swift, efficient and transparent.TAG_OPEN_div_26

Unveiling the Cabinet decisions, government spokesperson and Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Bharat Bahadur KC said that the work procedure related to e-cabinet would be prepared and presented to the Council of Ministers within 15 days.TAG_OPEN_div_24

The meeting also decided to sign a performance contract between the chief minister and ministers, the chief minister and the chief secretary, the thematic ministers and the provincial secretaries of the concerned ministries to complete the programs included in the policy, program and budget for the current fiscal year as per the stipulated time, cost and quality.TAG_OPEN_div_22

Spokesperson KC said that the ministries concerned should submit the policy, rules, laws, working procedure and action plan for the implementation of the budget to the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers within seven working days.TAG_OPEN_div_20

A ‘TAG_OPEN_div_18 project tracking system’ will be developed so that the financial and physical progress of the projects in the province can be seen immediately. In the first phase, the progress details of multi-year projects would be enshrined in the system.

The meeting also decided to provide details of the electronic system in operation in the province within seven working days and the Ministry within 15 days.TAG_OPEN_div_16

Procedures will be prepared to develop the necessary electronic system internally. The meeting also appointed Minister KC as the spokesperson of the province government. This is the first and 12th consecutive cabinet meeting of the newly-formed government.
