Neco Insurance pays insurance claim to families of Nepali mountaineers killed in Broad Peak avalanche

Kathmandu. At least 10 people were killed when an avalanche hit Broad Peak, the world’s 12th highest mountain in Pakistan’s Karakoram range, on Monday.

Among the dead, 5 were Nepali nationals. Neco Insurance has paid the insurance premium of trekking and expedition insurance to the family members of Gyalu Sherpa and Nagang Thindu Sherpa, who died in the accident. The trekking and expedition insurance was provided by Seven Summit Treks Pvt. Ltd.

Neco Insurance has paid the insurance claim after completing the necessary process and after prompt investigation and evaluation of the claim. The main objective of the insurance is to provide financial relief and support to the insured families in the difficult times of disaster.
