Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has organized a reception and interaction program in honour of the newly elected office-bearers of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).
At the program organized by the Objective Council of the Federation, the presidents and office-bearers of various commodity associations were welcomed.
On the occasion, FNCCI President Anjan Shrestha said that the role of commodity associations was important for resolving the problems of the private sector, policy reforms and creating business-friendly environment.
He urged the commodity associations to effectively raise the problems and possibilities of their respective areas with the government through the federation. “The problems of all the objective committees are common problems of the Federation. The federation is always ready to put these problems with the government and take initiatives to resolve them,” he said.
Stating that entrepreneurs were in a state of panic, business environment was deteriorating and there was no demand in the market, Shrestha urged the government to create business environment and boost the morale of industrialists and entrepreneurs.
On the occasion, senior vice-president of FNCCI Sur Krishna Baidya underscored the need of active participation of commodity associations to make the voice of the private sector more effective. He stressed that the associations should present the problems of their area with facts.
Similarly, Vice-President of FNCCI, Krishna Prasad Sharma, said that the FNCCI would play the role of facilitator in resolving the problems of the commodity associations. He also stressed the need of making a unified voice on common issues of private sector.
On the occasion, Commodity Council President and FNCCI Vice-President Naresh Lal Shrestha said the commodity associations were important pillars of the FNCCI and pledged to make the collaboration and coordination among the associations more effective. He added that the Federation would take initiative to resolve common problems of industries and businesses.
FNCCI vice-president Prabal Jung Pandey stressed on policy stability, investment-friendly environment and competitive market for the growth of industries. He was of the view that the commodity associations should continuously coordinate with the federation on the issues of problems and improvement in their areas.
On the occasion, Vice-President of the Commodity Council, Bhakta Bahadur Hamal, expressed his commitment to further strengthen the cooperation among the commodity associations and take forward the common issues of the private sector in an effective manner.
President of Nepal Pharmaceutical Producers Association Biplab Adhikari, President of Nepal Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association Balaram Gurung, President of Nepal Courier Service Association Anil Rajbhandari, President of Nepal Dairy Association Prahlad Dahal, President of Nepal Land and Housing Development Association Deepak Kunwar, President of Federation of Nepal Brick Industries Krishna Prasad, President of Nepal Hostel Association Narendra Bahadur Bohara, President of Nepal Tourist Transport Entrepreneurs Association Bhim Bahadur Gole Tamang and President of Rudraksha Entrepreneurs Association Manoj Kumar Chapagain were present on the occasion. They expressed their views on the problems, challenges and possibilities of their respective areas.
They also stressed on the need for necessary initiatives from the government and FNCCI to resolve policy and practical problems seen in the pharmaceutical industry, carpet and export, courier service, dairy, real estate and housing, brick industry, hostel business, tourist transport and rudraksha business.
On the occasion, FNCCI President, Commodity Council President and office-bearers welcomed and congratulated the newly elected office-bearers.
