Kathmandu. At present, there is the influence of monsoon wind throughout the country. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon low pressure trough is around the normal place.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is taking place at some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and at one or two places of Gandaki provinces.

The weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country towards the afternoon with chances of moderate rain and snowfall at some places of the mountainous region. Light rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area.

Likewise, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible at some places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at a few places of the Tarai region. Heavy rain is likely at one or two places of the hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There are chances of moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places of the hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The Division has urged one and all to adopt necessary precaution as there is a risk of disasters like mudslide, flood, landslide and soil erosion in the areas prone to heavy rainfall. The Division has urged all to stay updated on the information as daily life along with agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road and air transport are likely to be affected in the rainfall.
