Foreign employment returnees earn up to Rs 2 lakh a month from squatting business 

.  The youths of Laxmi Marg, who once toiled in Qatar and Malaysia for employment, are now finding commercial success in their own village. The buffalo squatting business started by them who returned home after leaving the lucrative earnings of foreign employment has now changed the identity of Laxmi Marg to ‘Sukuti Bazaar’.

Prem Shrestha, who returned home after spending six years in Qatar, and Dilip Shrestha, who worked in Malaysia for eight years, are such examples.TAG_OPEN_div_14 In the early days, Prem’s shop used to sell 20-30 kg of sukuti in a month, but now it sells hundreds of kg of sukuti monthly. He earns up to Rs 200,000 per month from the sukuti which is sold for Rs 2,700 per kilogram. He said that he buys raw buffalo meat at Rs 700 per kg in Belbari and Haraicha and other local markets. According to Prem, up to one-fourth of the meat is made.
