34-member delegation of FNCCI leaves for Japan

Kathmandu. A 34-member delegation led by Kisan Sunar, president of the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Gems and Jewelry Association, has left here for Japan today. The Japanese delegation has left for Japan to attend the Japan Jewelry Fair (JJF) 2026 to be held in Tokyo from August 26 to 28, 2083.

During the visit, the delegation will meet with the officials of Japan Jewelry Association and Information Markets Japan and discuss on mutual cooperation, exchange of knowledge and technology and business collaboration between the gems and jewellery industries of Japan and Japan.

The FNCCI has come up with a plan to collaborate with Japan’s related organizations for the upgradation and internationalization of Nepali jewelry industry in the development of high-tech and technical knowledge, trade and investment promotion, expansion of market access, creation of business opportunities, skill development and training programs. Similarly, joint exhibitions, programmes and projects will be established for the sustainable development of gems and jewellery industry and international promotion.

During the visit, a memorandum of understanding on mutual cooperation and cooperation will be signed between the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Gems and Jewelry Federation and the Japan Jewelry Association. The MoU is expected to further institutionalize the exchange of knowledge, technology, skills, trade, investment and business opportunities between gems and jewellery industries of both countries. He will also hold meeting with Charge d’ Affaires at the Embassy of Nepal in Japan Hari Har Kanta Poudel and President of Non-Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA), Japan Subash Lamichhane among other officials.

The delegation includes FNCCI Secretary Keshar Bahadur Bishwakarma, Executive Committee members Surya Baral and Dana Hamal, Office Chief Ram Maharjan and businessmen Ichha Harsha Bajracharya, Kamala Bishwakarma, Radha Gurung Baral, Sandesh Hamal, Hazard Tamang, Pralad Malla, Hira Lal BK, Bishnu Sunar, Dinesh Babu Bishwakarma, Laxmi Ghatani, Salik Ram Rasaili, Shiva Kumar Bishwakarma and Prem Bahadur Sunar. Buddhi Sagar Gartaula, Dhan Bahadur Baraili, Laxmi Gahatraj, Ramesh Sunar, Kumar Sunel, Rupesh Bishwakarma, Jayaram Khati, Devendra Shankar, Pooja Thapa, Shyam Lwagun Sunar, Anisha Sunar, Bharat BK, Dipen Bishwakarma, Ruby Agrawal, Manoj Podwar and Ankit Khadkathoki.
