Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a youth on charge of manhandling a female police officer on duty in Baneshwor of Kathmandu.

The arrested is 27-year-old Raj Kathayat of Tatopani Rural Municipality-2 in Jumla district and currently living in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10, Baneshwor.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Dan Bahadur Thapa, spokesperson at the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Kathayat manhandled a woman constable on duty at Baneshwor Chowk when she requested her to use the overhead bridge.

“We have taken Kathayat under control for manhandling the female police, further investigation into the incident is underway,” Thapa said.
