Kathmandu. Nepal Army (NA) has mobilized rescue and disaster management teams to carry out rescue and relief operations to flood-hit people in Timure and Syafrubesi of Rasuwa district.
Nepal Army mobilized rescue teams after receiving information that the flash flood had damaged the river banks including Timure and Syafrubesi at around 9:00 am on August 26.
Two helicopters of Nepal Army have reached Trishuli for the search and rescue operation. A helicopter along with a medical team has been mobilized to assist the district hospital in Trishuli.
Similarly, rescue teams from Dhunche and Trishuli barracks have been mobilized in the affected areas. Located in Gajuri, No. Skilled human resources have also been mobilized in disaster management from 6 brigade headquarters in the affected areas.
The Nepal Army is collecting details of the damage caused by the floods, it said. The NA has urged the people living along the banks of the Trishuli and Narayani rivers to remain alert and cooperate in rescue and assistance to the affected people.
