Kathmandu. A meeting of the National Council for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management was held in Rasuwa district on Wednesday morning.
In the meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar, the concerned authorities briefed the Prime Minister about the damage so far, condition of the flood-affected areas and the rescue and search works.
The meeting also dwelt on the ongoing rescue and search operation in the flood-affected areas, management of the injured and affected people and distribution of relief.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Shah directed all bodies concerned to intensify rescue, search and relief efforts in the aftermath of the disaster. He directed the government to immediately mobilize the required resources while prioritizing the life of the affected people.
The Prime Minister has called on all sides including the state mechanism to extend support from their respective sides in this difficult time of disaster. He also requested the bodies concerned to actively engage in rescue, search and relief distribution to the people in flood-affected areas.
The government has taken necessary steps for rescue, search and relief after floods occurred in Rasuwa district on Wednesday morning caused loss of lives and property.
