KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army has rescued 25 people affected by the floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa. A team of the Nepal Army deployed in the affected areas rescued them from Timure and Syaphru of Rasuwa and Trishuli of Nuwakot, according to Army Spokesperson Rajaram Basnet.

A total of 14 helicopters, including six from the Army and eight from the private sector, have been deployed in the affected areas for the rescue and response of the flood-affected people. These helicopters will assist in the rescue and relief of the injured and affected as per the need.

The Army has deployed a team of 20 specialist doctors, including two surgeons, at Maithali Barracks in Trishuli to treat the injured. The army has deployed a team to provide health services to the barracks after the road connectivity with Trishuli Hospital was severed.
