KATHMANDU: As many as 26 police personnel have gone missing due to the flash flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa today.

According to Central Police Spokesperson Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Abinarayan Kafle, the police personnel from the units in Timure, Syaphrubesi, Simle and Mailung of Rasuwa district have gone out of contact.

Eight bodies have been found in Nuwakot and Dhading during the post-flood search and rescue operation. The floods have caused major damage to the settlements, bridges and other road infrastructure in the coastal areas of the Bhotekoshi. Efforts are being made to collect the details of the damage.
