Floods in Rasuwa: Home Minister Gurung has extended collaboration with the private sector for relief and rehabilitation of the citizens.

Kathmandu. Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has initiated collaboration with the private sector for the relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the floods in Rasuwa.

He also held discussions with the leadership of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Nepal Bankers’ Association and Federation of Contractors’ Associations (FCAN).

The government has appealed to the private sector to help in providing food, medicines, clothes, temporary shelters and other relief materials in the flood-affected areas.

He said disaster management was not only the responsibility of the government but also the common responsibility of the government, private sector and the civil society.
