Kathmandu. The death toll in the floods in Rasuwa’s Bhotekoshi has reached 177. So far, 177 bodies have been recovered, police spokesperson (DIG) Abinarayan Kafle told Ratopati.
So far, the highest number of bodies have been found in the riverbank area of Chitwan. SSP Rajendra Dhamala of Bagmati Provincial Police Office said that 52 bodies have been found in Chitwan. According to him, 106 bodies have been found in the districts of Bagmati Province so far.
Police are trying to identify the bodies found on the banks of rivers in Gorkha and East Nawalparasi of Gandaki Province. In Rasuwa, the epicentre of the floods, 16 people have been found dead. 17 people were found dead in Nuwakot and 21 in Dhading, SSP Dhamala said.
