Kathmandu. The Ministry of Health and Population has directed the employees working in the health sector not to take leave except in emergency situations.
The Ministry has instructed the employees to be ready for search, rescue and health treatment services even during public holidays.
In a directive issued by the Ministry’s Administration and Management Section on Friday, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare extended tributes to those who lost their lives in the devastating flood and landslide in the Bhotekoshi River of Rasuwa district.
The Ministry has asked all its subordinate employees to be ready to be mobilized in disaster management as the health service should be operated continuously during the time of disaster.
The ministry has also directed not to approve leave and work of employees except for special reasons and essential works. The ministry has urged the subordinate bodies to give priority to the management of human resources and rescue and treatment work to make health services effective in the affected areas.
