Kathmandu. The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has urged all not to collect unauthorized amount in the name of flood victims and warned of strict action if they do so.

The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has urged the bodies concerned not to do so after receiving complaints that individuals, groups and organisations were collecting money in the name of financial support for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the Bhotekoshi floods.

It has been reported that some individuals, groups and organisations have been collecting money by making public unauthorized QR codes and personal account numbers, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement.

Spokesperson at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Hemraj Aryal, in a press release today, said, “We urge the people to donate money only in the official accounts and QR code made public by the government for transparent use, proper management and protection from possible financial fraud.” ”

The Office has requested the two main funds officially operating by the government and their account details and to deposit the amount only in the accounts provided here.
