{{TAG_OPEN_p_16} Kathmandu. The Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund (PMLF) has collected Rs 38.56 million on Friday for the relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the devastating floods in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading.

Finance Minister Dr. Various institutions, banks, insurance companies, industrialists and businessmen have handed over the amount to the fund through Swarnim Wagle.

The largest donation has been made by Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd. The company has contributed Rs 15 crore to the relief fund. After that, Prime Bank has contributed Rs 3.10 crore and Agriculture Development Bank has contributed Rs 3 crore.TAG_OPEN_p_14

Nepal Life Insurance Company has contributed Rs 2.51 crore from the insurance sector. Similarly, Asian Life Insurance Company Limited and Surya Jyoti Life Insurance have contributed Rs 10.1 million each.TAG_OPEN_p_13

Himalayan Bullion Company Limited has contributed Rs 10.1 million and Agro Thaifoods Pvt Ltd has contributed Rs 10 million from the private sector. Industrialist Bijay Kumar Shah, Syakar Trading under Padma Jyoti Group, WWF Nepal, Jawalakhel Distillery, Himalayan Distillery, Alpha Automotive Pvt Ltd and Solu Hydropower have contributed Rs 10 million each to the relief fund.TAG_OPEN_p_12

Personally TAG_OPEN_p_11, Raji Rana has contributed Rs 1,09,80,000. Morang Auto Works has contributed Rs 1.11 crore to the fund.

Similarly, Nepal TAG_OPEN_p_10 Cement Producers’ Association contributed Rs 51 lakh, Muktinath Bikas Bank Rs 5 million and Lumbini Development Bank Rs 2.5 million.

Among the other donors, CAS Trading House contributed Rs 1.11 lakh, Nepal Tea Development Corporation Rs 1.1 million, Silver Lining Pvt Ltd Rs 1.11 lakh and Abacus Insights Pvt Ltd Rs 1.5 million. According to the Ministry of Finance, Rs 26.62 lakh has also been contributed by three other organizations.TAG_OPEN_p_9

The government has intensified relief, rescue and rehabilitation works after the floods in the Bhotekoshi area of Rasuwa caused huge loss of life and property. The private sector, financial institutions and industrialists are continuing to mobilize support to provide relief to the affected people.
